Find any prompt or workflow in milliseconds

promptDeck puts a global search bar in the header of every screen, giving you instant access to your entire library of prompts and workflows. Results appear in real time as you type with a 250ms debounce for smooth performance, grouped by content type, and fully navigable via keyboard shortcuts — so you never need to leave the keyboard.

Key Capabilities

What's included

Global search bar

A persistent search bar lives in the application header, accessible from any screen. Start typing to search across all prompts and workflows simultaneously — no need to navigate to a dedicated search page first.

Real-time filtering

Results update as you type, filtered and ranked in real time. The search engine matches against titles, descriptions, tags, content, and metadata, surfacing the most relevant results at the top of the list.

Grouped results

Search results are organized into distinct groups — prompts and workflows — so you can quickly scan the right category. Each group shows a count of matching items and can be expanded or collapsed independently.

Keyboard shortcuts

Open search with Command+K (or Ctrl+K on Windows and Linux), navigate results with arrow keys, select with Enter, and dismiss with Escape. The full interaction is designed for keyboard-first users who value speed.

250ms debounce

A 250-millisecond debounce ensures the search engine only fires after you pause typing, preventing unnecessary queries and keeping the interface responsive even when searching large libraries with thousands of entries.

Cross-content search

A single query searches across all content types in your workspace: prompts, workflows, tags, descriptions, and metadata. No need to switch between separate search interfaces for different content types.

Use Cases

Who uses search?

Large prompt libraries

Teams with hundreds or thousands of prompts rely on search to find the right one fast. Full-text indexing and tag matching ensure even deeply nested prompts are discoverable in seconds.

Quick prompt access

Individual users use Command+K as a command palette to jump directly to any prompt without navigating folders or scrolling through lists. It becomes the fastest way to open anything in promptDeck.

Team discovery

New team members can explore the shared prompt library through search, discovering existing prompts and workflows before creating duplicates. Tags and descriptions surface context in the results.

Workflow management

Search across all workflow definitions to find automations by platform, status, or content. Quickly locate the n8n workflow that handles a specific integration or the Make scenario for a given client.

Command palette UX

The keyboard-driven search experience mirrors the command palette pattern popularized by VS Code, Raycast, and Spotlight. Power users can navigate the entire application without reaching for the mouse.
